Light Projections 2014
Encre sur papier, 92 x 75 cm
What kind of image does one project of its self when encountering someone ? A visage holds a story we want to project towards the world, as much as the others project preconceptions, feelings or judgements onto our persona. The men and women in this series hold a sort of cinema screen in front of their face. As much as a mirror, it acts as a shield, protecting the real face to the point of effacing it. The film projected are of different genres and are set in archetypal locations, an American city, a landscape, an interior: different spaces to hold different faces. |
